Photography and Free Verse: Three Swallows

Mom and Dad watched not from afar…as their babies called from the nursery…

One summer morn

when I awoke

I heard a screeching,

a calling

of a certain insistence,

of urgency!

“What could be the trouble…”

I asked myself in wonder

hearing the swarrows

so upset…

But then I saw

three baby swarrows

calling to Mom and Dad!

“Hey, can’t you see,

we’re famished here!

When will you

bring us breakfast!

N.B. I’m sorry to say that the photos are misnamed, they are in fact swallows and not sparrows.
