Never permit a dichotomy to rule your life, a dichotomy in which you hate what you do so you can have pleasure in your spare time. Look for a situation in which your work will give you as much happiness as your spare time.
life is short
I create each day
work and play combined as one
living life to the full
spoke wisdom one day
for one hour
is too little to call life
living is much more…
Written for Ese’s Shoot and Quote – Pleasure
Miracles are a retelling in small letters of the very same story which is written across the whole world in letters too large for some of us to see.

“Jumping out a window five hundred feet above ground is not usually my idea of fun. Especially when I’m wearing bronze wings and flapping my arms like a duck.”

For this week’s Shoot and quote I’m looking for inspriation:
Inspriation…when the muse takes you by the hands and starts writing your story or your poem or even takes that special photograph. Inspiration is something very special and very particular.
Sometimes the fall kills you. And sometimes, when you fall, you fly.”
― Neil Gaiman
“Sometimes you wake-up.
Sometimes the fall kills you.
And sometimes, when you fall,
― Neil Gaiman
“When I’m feeling down, I make myself a big bowl of Up Soup. The bowl only looks empty, but in reality it’s full of hope. Grab a spoon, there’s plenty for both of us.
― Jarod Kintz, A Zebra is the Piano of the Animal Kingdom
This post was written for Ese’s Shoot and Quote…and I hope you’ll come and have some Up soup with me 😉
Have a great week!
A book is a fragile creature, it suffers the wear of time, it fears rodents, the elements and clumsy hands. so the librarian protects the books not only against mankind but also against nature and devotes his life to this war with the forces of oblivion.
These are two books that we’re reading at present. The table is where we keep the library books we’ve checked out and the dictionary and other reference books we use sometimes.
Have a great week!
Ese’s Weekly Shoot & Quote : Fragile
Can you imagine what I would do if I could do all I can?
I liked this quote by Sun Tzu very much…but I love this second quote just as much and for different reasons:
I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it’s a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, and that enables you to laugh at life’s realities.

“I want to see the thirst
inside the syllables
I want to touch the fire
in the sound:
I want to feel the darkness
of the cry. I want
words as rough
as virgin rocks.”
Verbs – Pablo Neruda
For Ese’s Voice: Sunday Shoot and Quote – this week was touch.
Prompt 14 – Intagible
“The true harvest of my life is intangible- a little star dust caught, a portion of the rainbow clutched.”
Henry David Thoreau
