This week Cee on her Foto Fun askes to look at straight lines, and who am I to deny her 😉 !
Yesterday we took a ferry boat trip down the lake from Riva del Garda to Malcesine which is in the provence of Verona. I’d just read Cee Weekly Wrap-up and knew she was looking for straight lines, so I took these.
Cee’s Prompts is where you can post a Fun Foto!
This week Cee’s asking for flight. Over the last three weeks as I went daily to Trento’s Santa Chiara Hospital, I had the opportunity to see a lot of mercy flights come in.
Trentino-Alto Adige being a mountainous region sometimes means it’s not easy to get an emergency case to the hospital in the conventional way. Over the years, our region has decided to buy several helicopters to get to those people who need urgent care, whether because of an accident (and in the mountains there are not a few during the vacation season) or other “mundane” problems like a heart attack. Oh, and it won’t cost you a fortune if you ever need this particular sort of assistance … it’s paid in full by the Region.
Go and have a look at Cee’s Photo Prompts…she’s got a lot on her plate ant lots of photographic tips as wall as prompts galore!
For Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge this week, we look at shadows, which is one of my favorite subjects!
Walking down the road
sun behind our backs I thought
“Oh a funny photo!”
shadows along the sidewalk
what a sunny day
rain clouds forming
April shower soon to fall
over Trento’s hills
The first photo I took last week…it was just so inviting. The other two yesterday afternoon. All of them were taken in Trento where I’ve been going daily to visit my husband in hospital.
Inspried by: Cee’s Fun Foto (Tuesday – Shadows) and A Mixed Bag which brought the challenge to my attention through his great post!
Last night after dinner I went out of a short walk to work off my dinner before sitting back in my easy chair and
fall asleep read for a while.
I did so like last week’s WordPress photo challenge, that I decided to do a threes for Cee’s Foto Challenge! Here he is…the old lion that guards the gates!
Poor lad, he’s getting rather weathered…the white marble is greying…
Hope you enjoyed it though!
It’s been very wet here lately and just having come out of the flu…and then getting a cold, I’ve more or less been blocked in the house…
Thanks to Cee’s Photo Challenge and my Nokia 202 telephone, I have a couple of photos to show you, from 100 steps around my house!
You can’t really see it here, but it is snowing in this photo…the snow lasted perhaps about an hour, then it started raining again!
I took this photo about 30 minutes into the snow…from a nice warm spot in the house! You can see the roof in from of my house where the snow is collecting…
Thanks all for looking in!
I created this post for Cee’s fun Foto Challenge!
Whilst in The U.S. back in 2012, my sister took us to a place called Makanda, just on the outskirts of Giant City State Park, in Southern Illinois. It’s a strange settlement of artists and old hippies, really kind of enchanted. Here is one of the many sculpures there were to be seen there:
I’m presenting this for Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Manmade, click the link for the instructions!
This week Cee has come up with another fun challenge…reflections and shadows. The photos I’ll be showing you today were shot during the past week (shadows) and this morning (reflections) Continue reading
I love brown and I used to only draw in sepia, so, when i saw Unexpected in Common Hours’ post I felt drawn to this challenge!
Hope you enjoyed the photos!
