hero in the reeds –
changing into his costume
a gull screams
© G.s.k. ‘15
This week I though I take a humourous route for the reed photograph … and so did a comic book edit … unfortunately as I’m away, I didn’t have a lot of time to work on it … I’d have loved to writ the haiku in a cartoon bubble … perhaps I will, once I get home!

I have enjoyed all your edits- and number four is a clever one but I think I will still go with week one- I love the colour in week one with the contrast.
Thanks Cybele … happy you found one to choose from .. I think you’re right it is the most elegant .. thanks for your feedback btw, much appreciated.
most welcome!
I went with week 2. Love the colours in that one.
Thanks for your feedback and for voting … it was a very beautiful edit in the end!
It has been good to see the effect of the change of colours on the mood of the image. My preference is for Week 1.
Cool .. thanks for stopping by and giving your feedback!
Such fun! I love this edit — but — 2 is still my favorite.
Super Gull, right? 🙂
lol … now that’s a thought …. and I agree with you on the vote 😉
Yay! 🙂
[Faster than a speeding snail …. more powerful than an oyster on the half shell …. it’s…. super gull!]
lol!!! You’ve given me the giggles .. the original haiku had a woman screaming instead of a gull 😉 Kiddo liked the gull better … it’s fun to have feedback right on the tap like that! 🙂
Hey, I’ve got plenty of feedback! Not all of it *professional* and occasionally it’s off-color — but — I’m always ready, ya know?
LOL!
But yes — I like the gull better than the screaming lady too! o.O
True and you’re true blue! Yeah … the screaming lady just didn’t jive … I was thinking of superman in the reeds doing his quick change job … and then this lady walks along and has hysterics … the gull is far better, changes the whole story.
Week two is really nice, the colours are pleasant and the silhouette of the grass is really great.
Thanks Ben … glad you liked that one … thanks for your feedback!
I like the framing/vignette effect with the dots in this one, its subtle and light.
Thanks … glad you enjoyed it 🙂
One of my favorite things is to experiment with different hues and I really enjoyed following your journey this month.
Ha ha…love it Georgia! Such fun. I too enjoyed the colours in week 2. Simply gorgeous, but I think this last one is my favourite, because your words paint the picture behind the picture and my imagination is free to do the rest. Fantastic!!
🙂 Thanks Robyn! I’m glad you enjoyed this last take …
I did 😃
